    The Keep

    Iz recenzije:

How much do we really know about our family?

For the narrator in The Keep, she must look beyond the faded pictures, old letters and awkward silences to piece together the history of her family reaching back through war, emigration and loss to where it all started.

Spanning three generations, The Keep takes the reader on a journey through modern-day Canada, 1950s Italy, turn-of-the-century Croatia and on to Nazi-occupied Yugoslavia during World War II where her itinerant grandfather Srba must make a life-changing decision that will affect the entire family.

As the narrator begins to unravel the truth about her family, she discovers that their stories, once tied only to the past, will now play an important role in shaping her future.
